The paper addresses the problem of improving the energy efficiency of hybrid power systems based on fuel cells and batteries. The aim of the study is to develop an adaptive energy management strategy that avoids fuel cell operation in low?efficiency zones and extends battery service life. A simulation model of the hybrid system is proposed using the MATLAB/Simulink platform, including a proton?exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), a lithium?ion battery, a DC/DC converter, a permanent magnet synchronous motor, and an energy management system. The scientific novelty lies in the development of adaptive control with state?of?charge (SOC) zones: low (≤40%), medium (40-80%), and high (≥80%) with hysteresis transition. Author contributions: Zhang Jing - development of the simulation model and computational experiments; Xiao Guiyang - data analysis and results generalization. Experiments were conducted on an urban driving cycle. Mu Yannan - helped with the paper structure. The results show that the proposed strategy maintains SOC within the 40-80% range, prevents overcharge and deep discharge, and ensures fuel cell operation predominantly in the maximum efficiency zone. The developed model can be recommended for geoinformation support in designing hybrid vehicle power systems and monitoring their operational parameters. |
